I got my learner's permit. Yay.
Brandy came over to hang out for a while. We played Monopoly (we didn't finish the game) and built stuff with Legos and... other stuff. .___.
Haha... I'm going to freshman orientation/back to school night this year. I didn't go to my own freshman orientation, 'cause we were learning marching band drill. I was so clueless while learning drill last year, and I'm still bad at it.
Oh yeah, the first performance went pretty well. Endurance is my issue. I mean, I wasn't shot, but I was pretty tired. Memorization is pretty much done. It was good for the first performance, at any rate.
Band olympics was a riot. Brass won the guard's frozen t-shirt event (thanks to Daniel F. sticking it between his legs and running around like the madman he is) and the saxophone balloon toss. We lost our own event, the tug of war. Emily M. splashed water in Mr. Nash's face during the drum major "Holy Grail" event, and he dumped the bucket on her. Chaos ensues and people chase Mr. Nash. The tug of war featured a pit of shaving cream, and Sandon and Ashallee took headlong dives into the stuff. More chaos ensues. Mr. Nash tells "responsible" Elise to be in charge so that irresponsible people like me don't spray the whole field (and whatever part of him not already covered) with shaving cream. A couple minutes later, Elise is seen spraying people with shaving cream. Nice. :)
Anyway, horribly good time. No one got hurt!
